Routes to Resilience Digital Media Summer Camp 2017

3D Animations Created by the children and young people of the Routes to Resilience Digital Media Summer Camp 2017.

Routes to Resilience “R2R” is one of a number of projects funded by the Big Lottery, this project is for 5 years, we are almost finished our pilot year, which has been a great success. We had our Official Launch at the Crescent Arts Centre in Belfast on the 21st January. The project is in partnership between Play Board NI and Belfast Unemployed Resource Centre.

R2R held a Digital Media Summer Camp for 2 weeks in the Summer of 2017. The children and young people had Gaming laptops, iPads and special effects film equipment which was available to all for the duration of the Summer Camp.

The children and young people had the opportunity to express themselves through the use of Digital Media creating films, 3D characters and 3D animations, Stop-Motion Animation and special Film effects.

The children and young people also gained a magnitude of creative media skills as well as developing team working skills, better communication,
