Cross Border Partnership Employment Services (CBPES) held its latest event in Limavady on Tuesday, 30th June.
The CBPES Limavady Employer Support Briefing Lunch took place at the Roe Park Resort and heard from a number of speakers.
A representative from the Belfast Unemployed Resource Centre (BURC) was among those who delivered presentations.
One of the issues covered during the event was complications surrounding hybrid working across the border.
Barbara Gibson, Cross Border Partnership for Employment Services coordinator, said the event “demonstrated the value of CBPES working in supporting local labour market needs and helping employers access the information and resources required to attract and retain talent”.
“Local employers from a wide range of sectors came together at the Limavady Employer Information Briefing in the Roe Valley Resort to learn about the employer support and services available through DfC Employer Services, Cross Border Partnership for Employment Services (CBPES), BURC, and the Causeway Coast and Glens Labour Market Partnership,” she added.
“Attendees had the opportunity to hear from Martin Casey (Cross Border Solutions), who provided a brief insight into the complexities of frontier working and the issues individuals should consider before taking up employment in the border region.
“His session helped employers better understand the challenges and opportunities associated with cross-border recruitment.
“This event was well attended and following the presentations, attendees had the opportunity to network over lunch.”
